If you are this person, we would like to hear from you!Supervisor Operations, Full Time Position based in Ghlin, Belgium.What You Do On a Typical Day
  • Maintain and develop a safe work environment (Safety is our first priority)
  • Work with local leadership to define requirements for operations and ensure that the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed these requirements
  • Responsible for exceeding customer expectations and metrics (cost, quality, and responsiveness). Daily interaction with internal and external customer is required
  • Responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the department
  • Manages performance continually by developing and training associates
  • Fosters a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required
  • Working in line with the LEAN philosophy and work on productivity improvements
  • Manages in line with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
What You Need To Succeed At GXO
  • Bachelor Degree (Logistics or related field preferred). Experience may substitute for education
  • Leadership skills (2-4 years managerial experience)
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in English and French
  • Experience with safety systems and tools
  • Strong systems aptitude and must be proficient in MS Office applications, with emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Production and planning/optimization experience
  • Accurate, responsible and Pro-active attitude
  • Ability to analyze and coordinate
  • Internal and external problem solving attitude
  • System Knowledge (LEAN; ISO; systems process / orientation).
