Hamilton Barnes are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our clients team on a 12-month contract. You will be working with a leading European IT Service Provider in the heart of Belgium.

As a Systems Engineer you will need to be specialized in operating systems such as Linux, Red Hat, and OpenShift and manage/maintain the infrastructure and applications within these environments. Your duties include configuring and optimizing system performance, ensuring security compliance, and deploying applications using Kubernetes for container orchestration. Also automate processes using Scripting languages, monitor system health, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services. This role is crucial in supporting the underlying technology that drives business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English.
  • You go to the customer in Brussels once a week (easily accessible by public transport) and you work from home.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of operating systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu Linux and/or SUSE Enterprise Linux).
  • Container platforms (Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • DevSecOps CNCF tools/concepts (Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, ArgoCD and/or Prometheus)

Contract Details

  • Duration: 12 months (With view to Extension)
  • Location: Brussels - 1 day per week in office
  • Day Rate: Up to €600 Per Day
  • Start Date: ASAP
