For our client, a large and established commodity trading business based in Antwerp, we are looking voor a Trading Manager.

Responsibilities For This Position Are
  • You are responsible for management and oversight of the personnel within the Operations Team, responsible for execution of global contracts from origin to final destination and customer delivery.
  • You will ensure full shipping instructions are sent to suppliers in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with the needs of our customers
  • You will be responsible for management of the logistical execution of the contracts including coordination of shipping lines and vessel bookings.
  • You will coordinate cargo arrivals with the appropriate ports, warehouses, logistics firms and customs agents for smooth and prompt importation.
  • You will ensure that the cargo is stored safely and accurately in warehouses.
  • You coordinatore with customers to facilitate sales in both shipments and deliveries.
  • You arrange transport and customs requirements as agreed in the sales contract.
  • You will responsible for Finance and Cost Management: negotiation and implementation of agreed global freight rates and transit times, negotiation and management of warehouse rents and costs, and so on.
  • You will responsible for Risk and Compliance Procedures: real-time reporting of contractual statutes, proactively raising any potential issues to the Managers.
Qualifications Required Are
  • You have bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, management,..
  • You have at least 5 years of commodity logistics experience, with in-depth knowledge of supply chains and trading incoterms, and at least 1-2 years experience in a managerial role.
  • You speak English fluently. Other languages such as: French, Dutch, Spanish,.. are beneficial.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You have outstanding organisational and planning skills and highly motivated, proactive and a problem-solver.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office.
