• min 7-10 years work experience in the banking sector, including a proven track record in originating and executing complex lending transactions (a.o. LMA documentation, cashflow based financing)
• mastered complex financial analysis and are considered an expert in lending structures, market trends and developments
• proven financial modelling skills
• commercial drive, pro-active mindset and analytical skills
• vast negotiation and client-facing experience
• ability to work in agile teams
• willingness to travel
• Very good oral and written skills in English, Dutch and French

… Then you are our new VP or Director Corporate Sector Lending (level to be determined based on relevant experience and seniority in previous roles)

Your role …

• You will take responsibility for a suitable portfolio of complex corporate clients in all credit-related matters, with focus on origination and execution of new requests, but also taking responsibility for in life management (annual reviews, waivers,..), and optimization of the risk adjusted profitability.
• You may be the lead for corporate lending related matters for a particular (sub-)sector/segment (example Commodities, Food & Agri). You will ensure close alignment with stakeholders of such designated sector / segment (both local and global as applicable) and act as first point of contact for sector/segment-lending related questions or activities.
• You visit customers, with or without other colleagues or relationship manager, in the framework of the lending relationship, gathering relevant information and originating new transactions in line with ING’s risk appetite.
• You will structure and lead the negotiation of the credit facilities with the customer (in partnership with the relationship manager) and the follow up of the implementation/documentation of new credit facilities with other lending colleagues and/or in collaboration with inhouse Legal Department or external legal counsel.
• You are expected to lead the origination and execution of complex / non-standard deals with support of other lending colleagues and advising teams such as Syndication , Capital Structuring & Advisory, Debt Capital Markets…
• You will take responsibility for the preparation of credit packages according to ING policy and defend the credit request for approval to relevant approval mandate holders.
• You will acquire and keep up to date your knowledge on lending products, ING policies and also the general economic environment.
• You will provide further support to the Corporate Sector Lending Belgium team as appropriate.
• Your hierarchical line will be the head of Corporate Lending structuring team Belgium.

ING’s Corporate Lending structuring team in Belgium is a 14 colleagues strong team which provides lending solutions to ING’s corporate clients across a wide number of sectors (general industries, transport & Logistics, automotive, TMT& healthcare, commodities, food & agri, financial institutions) based in Belgium.
