You will liaise closely with our sales leads, business unit directors and heads of divisions to be the glue which ensures every opportunity is seized.Job PurposeThe role of Commercial Director is to contribute to the overall growth of Maverick with specific focus on the development and execution of the core strategic objectives alongside our European Senior Management Team. You will report to our VP for Europe and work with leads on collaboration, digital signage, international business strategy and finance to lead the future of the business.You will provide leadership for our senior team with specific focus on delivering our go to market strategy including channel development, new markets, sales, marketing and PR. You will work with key partners and agencies to keep Maverick at the cutting edge of our industry, positioning us with current and future clients, vendor partners and the wider industry. You will also contribute to the company’s diversity and sustainability goals, driving our internal culture and maintaining a ‘one Maverick’ approach across Europe.The role will also be to lead European projects focussing on new growth opportunities working closely with other divisions inside Tech Data. This will include developing strategies to exploit the explosion of AI, IOT, the Metaverse and future digital trends within our business.You will need to be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work closely with the vendors and local countries on the execution of business plans.The roleWe believe in using the technology we sell, so while either home or office based, you will be connected to your Maverick colleagues throughout Europe by using our Smart Meetings solutions. There will be a need for some European travel to support significant meetings and events.You will have strong entrepreneurial skills and be a natural leader of people with excellent managerial and motivational skills. A sense of fun is essential as a key element of our brand identity and how we create cut through in the market.The role will require a tenacious approach and the ability to manage a number of projects at the same time. Maverick is a very fast-paced company in a fast-paced industry, so flexibility and ability to work well with teams will be key to success.Responsibilities:
  • Developing and executing the AOP, value propositions, and tactical quarterly plans.
  • Maintaining the main partnerships (Vendor and Customers) to enable the plan.
  • Identifying, evaluating and helping to close possible acquisitions to accelerate the plan
  • Ownership of the execution of European sub-operations plan, achieving quarterly and annual business objectives.
  • Drive the building of programs and campaigns that can be executed across multiple countries.
  • Engage with Country Management exec teams in quarterly reviews and planning sessions.
  • Presenting at public events to audiences of different levels and capabilities and being a visible thought leader of the applicable focus in the IT channel
Knowledge Skills And Experience
  • 5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 to 8 Years of experience directly managing / supervising employees.
  • Master’s / Postgraduate Degree with MBA Field of Study preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with Economics field of study required.
  • Possesses strong data entry skills.
  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.
  • Able to converse and write effectively in English and Spanish.
  • Able to create and conduct formal presentations.
  • Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
