Whom will you be working for?

Our partner is an award-winning company within the media sector that organizes sector-specific events, think tanks and seminars.

Their core mission: Throwing informative events where experts and knowledge seekers come together.

What is this job about?

In this role as Event Operations Coordinator, your goal is to make events happen within predicted budgets and deadlines, alongside the Operations Manager and Chief Coordinator (to whom you will report).

You will have a different day every day, as your responsibilities will adjust to events and phases of the organization of the project (planning, execution, etc.).

Your challenges

  • Control the events happening in the French market
  • Keep track of processes in order to identify improvement points
  • Discussing and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best prices
  • Manage budgets wisely and find alternative solutions
  • Coordinate temporary staff on the event sight
  • Ensure the fulfilment of contracts with sponsors, suppliers, exhibitors and contractors
  • Actively participate in the development and growth of the team (helping in recruitment, giving ideas and others)
  • Ensure that health & safety policies are in place (before, during and after the events)
  • Occasional AdHoc duties
  • Share best practices and train junior members
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders

Who is this job made for?

This position is perfect for logistics professionals with a natural ability to multitask.

In this position, you need to be able to work with many people across different functions. Therefore, it is essential that you show some sense of leadership and a deep understanding of the project (including technicalities).

You will be dealing with floor plans, concept drawings, temporary staff, technical manuals and much more – you are like a maestro of an orchestra!

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in event-related operations
  • Knowledge of show planning
  • Ability to manage teams and oversee projects
