, as part of the Bruker Group, is a high-tech international company and the world-leading manufacturer of complete solutions in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR), and Preclinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). We develop high-tech analytical measuring instruments and methods that are used in many fields, from medical technology to materials science and food research.


We currently have a new opportunity based in Benelux for a Field Service Engineer to provide support for high technology equipment in research labs of pharmaceutical companies, universities, and government entities. This professional will work with highly complex equipment which requires an advanced understanding of electronics and optical alignment. The position will report to our Leiderdorp office in the Netherlands or Kontich office in Belgium, when not in the field at customers’ site.

Responsabilités:
  • NMR service and support for our customers
  • NMR spectrometer installation at customer site
  • Customer training on-site, in-factory, and online
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting of NMR spectrometer
  • Provide support to sales, application, and service
  • Frequent travel within BeNeLux is required, occasionally other destinations
Qualifications:

  • The ability to contribute to a team effort, yet to accept responsibility for an individual role within the team
  • Excel at continual learning in a rapidly advancing technological area
Qualifications
  • A BSc. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline, or be able to demonstrate a similar level of knowledge and skill gained by practical experience in analytical instrumentation world
  • Special acquired knowledge in the techniques NMR, EPR or MRI will be an advantage
  • Knowledge in cryogenics, pneumatics, RF, and computer networks will be a plus
  • A valid driving license is required
  • No visa restriction preventing from travel within the EU
  • Willingness to travel for 80% of the time
Skills and Experience
  • Capacity to take responsibility for the complete installation and commissioning of sophisticated instrumentation and to instruct users in its basic operation
  • Ability to diagnose causes of malfunction and to actively resolve customers’ service problems
  • Good computer literacy, including familiarity with data system hardware and industry standard operating systems, Linux knowledge will be a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good spoken and written English
  • Other European languages (Dutch or French) will be a plus
