OverviewField Service Engineers required for the EMEA region!We are growing our team in Belgium and are looking for more Engineers to join us!We would ideally like a Mechanical background or qualification, with a good basic knowledge of electrical and controls engineering as a bonus. Once you are fully trained on our machinery, you will work at our customer’s sites as a trouble shooter, and technical ambassador with a focus on value creation for the customers’ production line. Your role will be to fully understand and resolve a customers’ request, and to take ownership of assigned projects and tasks, reporting back into your supervisor and the customer direct.Our Field Service Engineers are technical experts with great soft skills, which enables them to interact with our customers in a professional, calm and advisory manner regardless of the pressure they are under to fix an issue.ResponsibilitiesA day in the life of our Field Service Engineer will include …
  • Providing EMEA wide site support with maintenance, inspections, trouble shooting and support with new projects (you are paid from door to door and there is overtime, or the option to take the time back in time off, weekend pay, per diem money for being down route)
  • You will produce timely and accurate service and visit reports
  • Technical support for all JBT machinery within your area of responsibility (we group our Engineers into teams but try to cross train as much as possible)
  • You’ll work closely with the Aftermarket team to ensure the implementation of servicing, upgrades and machinery modifications
  • Customers often talk about upgrades and buying new machinery and we would like you to report all new project sales opportunities to our Sales Manager for development
  • Build a good technical/business understanding of our complete product range we have at JBT

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical then Electrical, Control systems or Mechatronic engineering (Additional mechanical skills will be acquired on the job)
  • If you have around 5 years’ experience in machine servicing, ideally in food processing plants that would be awesome but as we say, with the core skills we can train you on our JBT machinery
  • PLC knowledge we work with Siemens TIA Portal and Allen Bradley so both would be ace and IPC & Servomotor knowledge would also be a plus
  • This role will require around 60% travel, working flexible hours, but as mentioned you will be well compensated for this!
  • We like self-starter’s who are self-motivated, independent worker’s and who will also be able to work as part of a team
  • Strong relationship building skills will assist you in our matrix organisation
  • Good knowledge of the English language is a must, other languages a bonus such as Dutch and German
