Within the Finance Business Partner Department, we are looking for a Finance Specialist for Strategic Projects for the “Enterprise Telco & Operations (ETO)” and “Enterprise IT (EIT)” Business Units.
Context and role:
With a yearly turnover of close to 2 Bn€, the ETO and EIT Business Units is the Market leader in Telco for the Belgian professional sector and an important ICT player in the professional Benelux market.
Our ETO and EIT divisions are organized to best serve our customers in those market, with organization tailored according to product types, customer segments and solution practices.
Your role is to take the E2E responsibility, as a partner, in building a clear financial view on transformational and strategic projects, and major customer Telco and IT deals. You also play a decisive role in the financial governance to ensure maximisation of future ETO/EIT profitability and to monitor the financial performance of those deals in execution. You are also responsible for the Business Unit Capex monitoring.
As Finance Specialist, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager “Conso & Transformation”.
Responsibilities:
- You take E2E ownership in transformational and strategic files, and large customer Telco & IT deals.
- You run the ETO & EIT Capex competence centre in close collaboration with the Finance Business Partners and SP Champions to ensure optimal resource allocation to achieve targets.
- You analyse the profitability of complex files and make recommendations to maximize shareholder value.
- You perform benefit management to measure the actual financial performance of a project compared to the business case assumptions.
- By using your excellent communication and writing skills, you provide the finance opinion on business cases to be submitted to the ETO/EIT Management, the Proximus Leadership Squad and/or to the Board of Directors for approval.
- You work in close collaboration with other Finance or Support departments (Tax, Accounting, Regulatory, Legal, Procurement, Treasury, …). You make sure to have a complete view on all elements that could influence your decisions within your responsible area of activities (IFRS compliancy, Regulatory constraints, projects financing, vendor discounts, …).
- You are responsible to represent the finance community in the Enterprise Bid Approval Process (EBAP) which aims to validate the customer deals and to make sure that the rules and processes are properly respected.
- You work in close partnership with the ETO/EIT departments (Sales, Pricing, Squads, Bid team, …) to properly understand the business, to challenge the business case assumptions and to come with potential alternatives (financials or solutions oriented).
- You are, as member of the ETO/EIT Finance Business Partners team, responsible to communicate and share on a regular and structural way the output of your analyses to help colleagues in their day-to-day activities (eg: Planning, Forecasting, Contract renewals, …).
- You keep informed, on a regular base, the ETO/EIT FIN Lead on the progress status of important ongoing files (Transformational deals, strategic files, complex bids, …).
Your Profile
In order to manage all the above, we are looking for a colleague who:
- Can take the E2E ownership of complex files in an autonomous way;
- Is well organized and can work with short deadlines;
- Is results-oriented, has an analytical mind and can cope with stress;
- Is a very good team player with excellent communication skills;
- Has very good presentation skills (oral and writing) and who can add a storytelling component to financial analysis;
- Is digital savvy with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and is willing to invest in other software applications (TM1, SAP, …);
- And last but not least who is proactive, assertive and diplomatic.
Regarding your education & experience, we prefer a university degree, supplemented with at least 5 years of experience in a financial domain (audit, controlling, financial analysis);
Of course, you can express yourself fluently in Dutch and/or French and English (oral and writing).
