Asse/Zellik | Financial Controller | English, French, Dutch | 3+ years’ experience | Permanent position

For a company active in the retail sector, Hays is looking for a Financial Controller.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyzing financial results and balance sheet and income statement trends.
  • Proposing corrections to ensure an accurate and timely monthly and/or quarterly financial closing.
  • Presenting final figures to the headquarters and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring financial figures comply with local (BE GAAP, Lux GAAP) and international (IFRS) accounting rules.
  • Overseeing operational activities by our SCC is located overseas.
  • Participating in continuous improvement of processes
  • Translating operational activities and data accurately into accounting.
What we’re looking for:The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in finance/economics and at least 3 years’ experience in audit, accounting or controlling. You speak English fluently as well as Dutch or French, knowledge of both national languages is an asset. You have excellent communication and analytical skills, have good knowledge of IFRS and BE GAAP accounting rules. You have experience with SAP and an advanced level of Excel.
