Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for a driven, enthusiastic and polyvalent Financial Project Controller to reinforce and sustain our Grid Software teams. Our Grid Software technology enables grid operators as well as industry and infrastructure companies to accelerate and secure the energy transition in a sustainable and profitable way.You will join a young and dynamic team where you will play a key role in close collaboration with the Project manager, Financial Business Unit Manager and all other stakeholders (Legal, Procurement, Sales…).In your main role of Project Controller, you will be responsible for the management and completion of all commercial/financial related tasks at all stages of a project and ultimately you will contribute to customer satisfaction and Grid Software business success taking active part to the energy transition.This entails the following responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the financial management, including the preparation, controlling, forecasting, and reporting of projects.
  • Supports the Project Manager and ensures that the financial results are managed according to set targets and with due professional care. Management of all financial KPI’s of the project and optimization of the project gross profit, cash flow.
  • Ensures the accuracy of project books and records, including recording of such in the appropriate systems, e.g., SAP - ensures compliance with Siemens-Financial Guidelines plus the local accounting requirements supported by the available financial experts.
  • Actively communicates with customer’s commercial representatives and contributes to the solution of commercial issues.
  • Together with the Project Manager proactively executes contract and claim management in the project, including involvement and cooperation with the assigned contract manager.
  • Supports the acquisition phase of the project with participation in bid preparation including cost/price calculation and contractual conditions.
  • Supports the Project Manager in identifying, evaluating and assessing risks and opportunities, strategies and response activities – taking over the full responsibility for all commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Leads commercial project team members to act according to the Business Conduct Guidelines and establishes a culture of trust and integrity.
Over the course of time, in addition to the project responsibilities you will receive the opportunity to develop your competences and to support the Financial Business Unit Manager with general reporting and controlling requirements in Grid Software.Qualifications And Experience
  • Completed bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent)
  • Professional experience in various commercial functions, commercial project management is a plus
  • Knowledge in accounting and controlling
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP and MS Office
  • Good communication skills, sense of initiative, and proactive
  • Ability to work under pressure and in an environment with tight deadlines, focus on outputs
  • Ability to focus on outputs and results to be delivered
  • You are a real team player but also can work independently
  • Professional level of French, English is mandatory due to international business environment.
  • Dutch knowledge is an asset.
