Over de functie

As an FPGA Development Engineer you will work on various projects within Life Sciences and novel sensing technologies for the medical, industrial and space applications. You will undertake the development of FPGA applications within a multidisciplinary team where you prepare analyses for new project requirements and definition of various system specifications. You apply the designs within data (pre)processing in close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of system engineers, electronics design engineers and researchers. This collaboration proceeds in the agreed timeline of the customer and you report this progress internally and to the customers. This allows you to be flexible with new project requirements and effectively manage available time. Additionally, you will design and implement high bandwidth readout systems.

Functie eisen

As an FPGA Development Engineer, you can check off the following items or demonstrate through experience.
  • Master’s degree in electronics with at least 5 years of experience in FPGA design and programming for industrial applications.*
  • Knowledge in digital techniques & VLSI design and VHDL coding rules in high-speed applications (CDC, FSM, pipelining, ...).
  • Behavioral and Timing simulation techniques.
  • Tcl/TK scripting in an EDA environment.
  • Verification using virtual (ILA) and lab equipment (MSO, LSA) o FPGA development environments (Xilinx + Lattice) o Embedded Linux environment (Petalinux and PYNQ)
  • Excellent communication skills and is fluent in English.
