Our client is looking for a Support Engineer to assist their customers in their infrastructure.Job Description
The IT department is responsible for supporting and maintaining the client’s computer systems and providing effective IT support to all business users. The department is responsible for the timely and efficient resolution of all IT related issues.
The IT Support Engineer will provide effective IT support in all aspects of the business and provide support and assistance. The Support Engineer is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems and the Microsoft Exchange environment, as well as general maintenance of all IT related Hardware/software. The position offers the opportunity to participate in a wide range of IT related projects and activities.
As a Support Engineer you will be responsible for the back office, helpdesk as well as scheduling and placing orders with suppliers.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems
Undertake small to medium sized IT projects
Provide desktop and server support
Provide support and maintenance for MS and MS Exchange servers/desktops.
Install and configure new laptops and desktops.
Install authorized software on laptops and desktops.
Ensure security and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops and kept current.
Installing Antivirus software on all desktops and laptops.
Troubleshooting of desktop and laptop computers.
Report outages and maintain logs on servers, desktops and laptops.
Resolve customer incidents by phone, email or remote tools
You will learn how to provide services to customers in an ITIL environment.
Handle scheduling, customer follow up...
Installation and configuration of new central servers
Install authorized software on central servers
Ensure that patches and updates are applied to central servers.
Troubleshooting on central servers
Create purchase requisitions for computer Hardware/software.
Ensure that licenses for all purchased software are registered and maintained.
Maintenance of Exchange Server mailboxes, including mailbox archiving.
Profile
You have at least 2 years experience in ICT support/service desk environment.
A good level of Dutch, French and English.
You have a degree in computer science or a strong interest.
A good knowledge of the basics of ICT (Hardware, software and networks).
You have a broad knowledge of the Microsoft environment (MS Office, Internet Explorer, Windows 7, 8, 10) and a general knowledge of Hardware and software at network level (patching, Cisco, VPN, ...).
Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus: Microsoft 365, Office 365 administration & migration
