Challenges we trust you with
As an Automation Engineer at IBA, you’ll play a crucial role in our automation projects.
You’ll collaborate with our talented team of architects to analyze projects, define hardware and software specifications, and develop cutting-edge control systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Analyzing, programming, testing, and commissioning safety-related control systems.
  • Ensuring project documentation aligns with internal QMS procedures and guidelines.
  • Providing high-level technical support post-system start-up.
What we value
To excel in this role, we’re looking for candidates who bring:
  • An engineering degree in Automation or Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a specialization in automation/control systems
  • A first similar experience (ideally 4-5 years)
  • The ability to thrive in project teams under a structured Quality Management System
  • Strong analytical skills for efficient technical problem-solving
  • Proficiency in creating high-quality technical documentation
  • A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting customer needs in mission-critical applications
  • Fluency in French and a good command of English
  • Willingness to travel internationally for short missions (approximately 20-30% of your time)
Cherry on the cake
You ideally have a (not a must):
  • PLC programming expertise, specifically Siemens S7 400 and S7-1500
  • Proficiency in Supervision programming (Wonderware Intouch)
  • Familiarity with industrial communications protocols like PROFIBUS, PROFINET, S7-comms, and PROFISAFE
  • Knowledge with kepware is an asset
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
