KEMIN ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – EMENA is seeking a:

AUTOMATION PROJECT ENGINEER (Europe/Middle-East/North-Africa)

Because of high demand of our customers we want to further expand our online program and cloud solutions. Therefor we are upstaffing our Application Solutions Team (KAS).

This team is responsible for the product application systems and services that Kemin offers to its customers.

You will be responsible for the development and the assembly of advanced liquid application systems from request to solution. Next to that you will actively participate in the development and integration of advanced and tailor-made application solutions. Complete installations and start up at customers.

Typical day-to-day activities include manufacturing of applicators, providing engineering support to customers and field engineers. Test compatibility of new Kemin products with the PAD application systems.

This position is based in our EMENA headquarters in Herentals and requires travel up to 25% in the EMENA region

Every feed production facility is unique, which is why Kemin provides custom equipment solutions and training through a dedicated Kemin Application Solutions (KAS) team. The effective use of an ingredient depends on the proper application and distribution. Our KAS team is made up of experienced engineers and technicians that help install, maintain and optimize customer application equipment to ensure your ingredients are meeting your performance goals.

What you’ll be doing

· Develop innovative software solutions to maximize the applicator efficiency.

· Provide day to day monitoring and support via telephone, email and remote access software.

· Design, configuration, integration and implementation of liquid dosing systems from

· request to solution.

· Strive to maintain high product quality standards by designing test procedures and methods.

· Develop P&ID’s, electrical schematics, user manuals and installation guides.

· Assist on-site equipment installations, commissioning and give training to the local operators.

· Perform risk assessment

· Assist in quote generation

· Foster a positive team environment and assist coworkers as required

· Receive goods, receive approval.

· Carry out QC on goods, materials, etc and report to QC problems

What we expect of you

· Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering, Automation or Computer Science

· 3 To 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment

· Strong affinity for industrial automation

· Profound knowledge and understanding of electrical schemes is crucial

· Understanding of PLC programming, field bus systems and software development.

· Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform system tests.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Must be fluent in English

· Highly motivated self-starter, with an outgoing personality, is highly organized and is able to work independent and in a team.

· Familiar with Step7, WinCC, Movicon, VBA, VBS, C, SQL-Server, OPC-Server/Client,Profinet, Profibus, Modbus and/or IO-link

· Experience in Feed mill process technology is a strong asset

· Experience in liquid dosing systems is considered a plus
