Mission: As the Business Unit Manager for Cloud & Data, your mission is to lead and grow our Xylos Azure cloud and data team, with the ambitious goal of tripling its size over the next three years. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the business strategy, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving commercial success in the rapidly evolving cloud and data industry. You’ll report to the CEO and are part of the management team.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the existing team, ensuring their growth, motivation, and engagement.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard top talent to expand the team, focusing on attracting individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharing, creativity, and innovation.
- Implement effective performance management processes to maximize team productivity and individual development.
- Business Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan aligned with the organization’s overall objectives, current cloud strategy and market trends.
- Identify new opportunities and target markets to drive business growth, expand the customer base, and increase market share.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product development and go-to-market strategies with customer needs and market demands.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
- Commercial Success:
- Drive revenue growth by effectively positioning and promoting our cloud and data solutions to target customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective pricing strategies, sales collateral, and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor market dynamics, customer feedback, and sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize business outcomes.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in people management, leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of the (Azure) cloud and data industry, including emerging technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and negotiate with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative solutions and adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through organizational growth and transformation.
- Possess a can-do mentality.
- Exhibit a strong lead by example spirit.
- Master’s degree in business or computer science
