Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Chief of Staff to report into the Managing Director Belgium. The Chief- of-Staff will provide day-to-day support to the Managing Director in Belgium by giving him additional leverage and amplifying his impact. This role provides an outstanding platform for a highly talented individual to work under the immediate supervision of the MD and generally help to implement its visions. The role is based in Brussels.

The role will be varied and is positioned to interact closely and with autonomy with the MD in Belgium, the local management team and other Leaders across the Group.Critical and strategic, the role will be expected to impact quickly and develop as the business grows. We are looking for someone who can make a tangible positive impact to transform and add value.

Verisure Belgium
Belgium today is a mid-sized Verisure country with 600 employees. During the last four years the company has seen a very strong growth and is now getting ready for the next phase of its expansion. The Management Team in Belgium, led by a Managing Director (himself an alumni from McKinsey), has put a new plan in place to further drive value, with a 2025 objective to double the size of the company. This makes Verisure Belgium one of the fastest growing mid-sized companies in Belgium.

Verisure Belgium is a key geography for Verisure, and it is expected to generate solid growth moving forward by driving penetration in the underpenetrated and high potential Belgian market.

We have set a clear strategic plan that would transition Belgium from a mid-sized company to a larger scale enterprise in the next years - and make Verisure Belgium the recognized and undisputed leader in monitored home security solutions.

Responsibilities
The Chief-of-Staff will be a strategic partner and advisor to the Managing Director and the Management Team. This role provides an outstanding platform to a highly talented individual to work under the immediate supervision of the Managing Director and generally help to implement its visions. The role will be transversal and have exposure to all the initiatives at Verisure Belgium, while also have the end-to-end ownership of a number of critical and transformational projects.

Priorities will include:
  • Amplify impact and reach of Managing Director, supporting him on the definition and implementation of the Strategy for Belgium and key value creation initiatives
  • Work closely with the Management Team on strategic projects impacting across each area of the business: Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, HR.
  • Projects will include:
    • Importing group best practices and help applying them in Belgium
    • End-2-end process design of strategic changes and drive full roll out
    • Support in the development of new go-to-market and business around strategic partnerships (alliances)
  • Closely work with MD on ad hoc interventions which require high attention and deep dive analysis
  • Define and track the global dashboard and main KPIs at a country and area level
  • Participate with strategic planning in projects for our company, both at country and global level

The chief of staff position in Belgium has a track record of quickly onboarding external talent and launching them into the wider organization, with the 2 predecessors transitioning into line functions in the company (1 MT position).

Candidate profile
Experiences and Qualifications

We are looking for a high potential / top performer individual, proactive, solution-oriented advisor focused on driving value to the business.
  • Top tier education background with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (ideally engineering or business administration)
  • Circa 2-5 years cumulative post-University experience (pre-/post-MBA, depending on the overall experience)
  • High Potential / Top Performer from a top tier strategic consulting firm
  • High EQ, possesses high level of judgement and discretion, strong management of confidentiality
  • Very strong people and process skills
  • Strong track record on project management and presentation skills
  • Commonly seen as analytically strong
  • Detail orientation and precision
  • Reliability and transparency
  • Significant experience in multi-national and multi-cultural environment
  • Fluency in English – fluency in French and/or Dutch is an advantage
