ASCO, part of Swiss group Montana Aerospace, began operations as a private subcontractor in 1954.

Today ASCO Group is engaged in a broad range of development, engineering, manufacturing and assembly activities providing multidisciplinary subcontracting services to various markets and aerospace programs around the world.

Asco operates from several locations, Belgium, Canada, Germany and USA, with a turnover exceeding 200 million euros.

Asco produces over 2,500 assemblies every month and has the ambition to be a world leader in design and manufacture of high lift devices, complex mechanical assemblies and major functional components for the aerospace industry.

Montana Aerospace AG is a highly-vertically integrated manufacturer and supplier of system components and complex assemblies for the aerospace, e-mobility and energy sectors with worldwide engineering and manufacturing operations announced the signing of the acquisition of 100% of shares of the Asco Group on the 7th of September 2021.


FUNCTION
:

The Communications Manager acts as SPOC (single point of contact) and is responsible for the development and execution of communication campaigns and initiatives towards internal and external stakeholders, in line with the Montana Aerospace (MA) Marketing and communication strategy. He/she reports to the ASCO Group HR Director and works together with the different Asco teams & Montana Marketing teams to determine the priorities in driving communication. He/she develops, plans, coordinates, composes and edits communications in different forms. He/she will be responsible for the 4 Asco sites (in Belgium, USA, Canada and Germany)

Responsibilities:

Manage Internal communications

  • Act as SPOC and work closely together with MA Marketing team
  • Ensure a strategic fit for the communication strategy with the overall MA Marketing and HR strategy.
  • Ensure that the company’s values are reflected within the communication strategy.
  • Support the organization with timely, clear and relevant communications towards all employees in Dutch, French and English.
  • Organize internal town halls.
  • Organize and lead regular management meetings.
  • Develop and implement different channels to reach the total employee population.
  • Manage and maintain the content on the intranet.
  • Develop and implement onboarding information for new employees.
  • Prepare and launch a regular pulse check within the company and assure a good follow-up of the results on a departmental level
  • Assist in the organization of (ad hoc and traditional) personnel events to maintain and – where possible - improve employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with and ensure integration and translation of corporate group communication plans and initiatives.

Manage external communications

  • Act as SPOC and work closely together with MA Marketing team
  • Develop & implement external communication plans and content.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency of message.
  • Support participation in commercial events.

Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, Employer Branding or marketing communications.
  • Taking ownership.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with many different stakeholders and on different levels within the organization
  • Able to craft messaging and visuals for specific audiences, considering their needs and preferences
  • Excellent command of Dutch, French and English language. German is an asset.
  • Previous experience in personnel and B2B communication campaigns.
  • PowerPoint design skills.
  • Social media editing and publishing skills.
  • Attention to detail, as well as being able to understand the big picture.
  • Experience of working in an international environment
  • Able to build positive working relationships with colleagues and different departments.
  • Must be organized, responsive and able to work on a variety of projects with tight deadlines.
  • Is able to assist management & advise them on their communication style and methods.
