European Schoolnet is searching for an enthusiastic trainee to join the eTwinning Team for six months. The trainee will assist in eTwinning communications activities, such as updating and maintaining the website and eTwinning social media profiles. The candidate should have a strong interest in communication and knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies, social media, and innovation in education. He/she will gain an insight into the work of an international not-for-profit organisation in education and will also have the opportunity to actively contribute to different communication activities of eTwinning.
MAIN TASKS
  • Updating and maintaining eTwinning website
  • Assisting in further development of eTwinning website and liaising with external designers and European Schoolnet Technical team
  • Maintaining and updating social media profiles
  • Producing (collating, editing, or drafting) content for the website
  • Assisting in the production of newsletters
  • Assisting in the dissemination of projects
  • Supporting and hosting webinars and online events

PROFILE AND SKILLS

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, journalism, media, education, international relations)
  • Fluent written and spoken English, additional languages would be an asset
  • Interest and familiarity with corporate social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and Web 2.0 technologies
  • Preferably previous experience with web content management systems
  • Excellent drafting skills in English
  • Strong organisational skills, flexibility, and ability to learn fast
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
USEFUL INFORMATION
  • Duration: 6-month internship starting in September 2021. Full time (38 hours / week).
  • Deadline for applications: Until the post is filled, early application is recommended.
  • Benefits: a stipend of 1000 €/month net for the duration of the internship and travel expenses support
  • Location: European Schoolnet, Rue de Treves, 61, Brussels, Belgium.
  • The position requires living in Belgium.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be EU citizens or possess a valid work permit for Belgium.
