Nuage Networks, part of Nokia ION, is technology leading in Software Defined
Networking (SDN), within the Cloud datacenter, across those datacenters, and
within the Wide Area Network, referred to as SD-WAN (Software Defined WAN).

SDN is next-gen networking, addressing the need for full API-driven control and end-to-end automation when connecting Users to their Apps in a hyper-connected world.

By leveraging our unique position and our ability to match SDN technology with our ION networking expertise and assets, we have been winning various Tier 1 operators and large enterprises already deploying Nuage SDN in their network.


The Nuage Networks SDN stack also provides the programmatic network control in Nokia’s AirFrame Telco Cloud solution.


As a Customer Support Engineer ("4LS engineer") in Nuage Networks you will provide:

  • Support engineering escalations for customer issues found in field and during lab trials.
  • Interface with the 3rd Level Support Team, Customer Account Teams, Business Units, and Customers for technical consultation and customer support concerns.
  • Interface with development and Quality Assurance teams to provide feed-back on bugs found by customers.
  • Debug complex product installations and resolve complicated product problems by applying both established procedures and creative alternatives.
  • Prepare reports on problems encountered and methods of resolution applied, ensuring overall system integrity and reliability.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to provide on call and out of hours coverage.
  • Flexible approach to occasional small on-site business trips.


Qualifications:

  • You are an excellent problem solver and you love troubleshooting complex systems
  • You are an analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
  • You show excellent customer service skills
  • Hands-on technical experience with, and very knowledgeable on, LAN/WAN operations, Network protocols, UNIX or Linux Operating systems, and/or networking hardware
  • Understanding of routing, VPN solutions, and common ports and protocols like OSPF, BGP, XMPP, Routing/Switching, etc
  • Knowledge and insight in VXLAN network virtualization
  • Familiarity with (some) SDN technologies like OpenvSwitch and Openflow
  • Familiarity with Cloud operating system like VMware, Openstack, Kubernetes, Amazon AWS API
  • Familiarity with compute virtualization and/or cloud-native technology
  • Familiarity with Service Routers like NOKIA SR7750 or competing products
  • Experience with programming languages, more specifically understanding python and C code and mastering scripting languages (like python).
  • Proven track record in a dynamic team environment
