What will the Segment Manager do?This Involves, Among Other Things
You will be primarily engaged in gathering customer insights for the B2B segment you are responsible for, and evangelizing this knowledge to your colleagues in Customer Value Proposition Mgmt, Go To Market & Sales.
- Build, extend & evangelize knowledge on the market segment within the organization
- Challenge and finetune new & existing customer value propositions in line with customer needs
- Craft relevant segment-oriented combined offers: bridge existing and to-be-developed components of our portfolio of solutions & services, cross product lines and cross service organizations.
- Centralize all available segment data & insights in cooperation with the Data & Insights Manager
- Active participation as a bridge between the CVP manager and the Go to Market manager, in order to translate CVPs to marketable propositions.
The CVP team plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing the strategy to achieve the growth mentioned earlier. More specifically, we create & develop the customer value propositions for all businesses (ranging from e.g. hotels to major banks and hospitals) and so define the experience that the customer has during his/her whole customer journey with Telenet Business.
Cooperation is a key aspect of Telenet Business. You will therefore also be asked to help with:
- Shaping the portfolio to market-oriented offerings
- shaping the go-to-market strategy
- shaping the sales strategy
- You have a marketing profile and a strong affinity for technology. In other words, you are able to translate complex technology into the customer’s language.
- You are a team player who takes stakeholder management to a new level, facilitating discussions & workshops between internal and external parties
- Empathy for the customer is in your blood, and you get energy from interacting with the customer and the market in general
- You have a positive attitude and are open to feedback. You are always looking for ways to improve the organization and/or yourself.
- You are proactive and have a problem-solving mindset. In short, you take ownership of the matters for which you have responsibility.
- You are flexible, you enjoy working with other people, and you contribute to a positive work environment.
- You are process-oriented and process-driven.
- At least seven years’ experience in marketing and preparing propositions, preferably focused on B2B;
- Experience with customer research, identifying customer needs & opportunities
- Understanding of value proposition design
- Business acumen: business & product strategy
- Understanding of market orientation such as competitive research, market trends & knowledge
- Problem solving & creative thinking skills
- Fluency in Dutch and English;
