Your future duties and responsibilities:

As Data Architect, you will:
  • Be the technical coordinator for the implementation of Data projects
  • Work together with the Solution Architects to ensure that the proposed solutions fit in the client’s architectural landscape
  • Participate in the workstream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of end-to-end BI solutions
  • Be involved in the design, development and testing databases, data warehouses, data lakes, queries and views, reports, and dashboards
  • Perform data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems
  • Blend BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications
  • Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations in compliance with existing standards
  • Design and architect a full end to end data lake ecosystem within a cloud hyperscaler environment (Azure, AWS, GCP, …
  • Manage a team of (cloud) data developers in a fast paced agile environment
  • Choose, estimate, configure and design a fully functional cloud data stack
  • Safeguard all non-functional requirements (sizing, scaling, high availability, security, performance, …) of the designed solutions
  • Support data governace, data strategy and data management missions in line with to the strategy and vision of the client
  • Proven experience in understanding different business needs and translating them to IT solutions

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • A graduate (master’s degree) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent
  • Large experience in designing complex Data systems is required.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in setting up data stacks, preferrably in a cloud environment
  • Experience in making data integrations between systems happen, including data migrations, data synchronization, data conversion, data mapping
  • Broad experience in Data modeling, hands-on experience in communicating these models via standard modeling techniques (Sparx, UML, TOGAf, Archimate) towards the development teams
  • Autonomous and able to work in agile teams
  • Knowledge and experience in integrating with cloud environments
  • Proven experience in reporting and business analytics
  • Deep knowledge and experience with all Data components of one or more Hyperscaler
  • Designing and building both transactional and data warehouse databases and systems
  • Designing and building algorithms and/or reports on an analytics and reporting platform
  • Designing and building data pipelines/flows. ELT/ETL, Pub/Sub, Batch, Realtime
  • Experience working with data stewards, application owners, end users and other stakeholders to design data structures and flows that meet analytic and reporting needs of the business
