Job Description - Hands & Feet Support (DC) -onsite

Location: Wareham, Belgium

Language Requirement:(English and Dutch speaking a must)

Duration: One Year

Preferably: Independent Contract role

Hands & feet Support at Customer Data Centres and Data Rooms

This document states a model to provide Hands & feet support to a dedicated pool of infrastructure resources including compute (servers), networks, storage, backup environments/platforms and related services for HCL proposed storage solution, so that these resources can be provisioned within a pre-defined timeframe.

Sections below also sets forth the roles and responsibilities of HCL and Customer for the provision of resources to provide Hands & Feet support for IT Infrastructure, its Operations and Data Centre Services. Document also states the services and activities that will be provided as part of the base services applicable for the entire duration of the SOW .

Hands & Feet Support on Customer Data centres and Data Rooms

· Physical installation of new devices like server, storage, backup, network, security, etc.

· Cabling work during new hardware installation

· Provide support during hardware outage in the in-scope sites

Service Locations

We will deliver Hands & Feet Support on customer locations specified in the Service Location Schedule. The Hands & Feet Support will be provided as per agreed service window and service level for each Location in the Service Location Schedule.

Any change in Service Location and/or the Service Location’s service levels or service windows need to be agreed upon according to the Service Locations Schedule and in accordance with the Change Control Procedure.

This service refers to providing end to end management for in-scope. Given below are the Hands & Feet support services for IT infrastructure available at Customer Premise.

“Hands and Feet Support” means the basic/first level troubleshooting support based on operating manuals for data centre hardware devices

Service Features

· Re-setting the system.

· Switching a cable or plug

· Mount/dismount Servers.

· Tape management

· Scheduled activities (Planned Requests) support

· Non-scheduled activities (Unplanned Requests) support

· New hardware installation.

· Ad hoc cabling work

· Racking, Stacking, un-racking of new and old hardware

· Decommission of old hardware
