ARHS Digital is looking for a Data Modeler to join the transversal division of the Data department of one of its clients, a key player in the Financial Sector in Brussels.

As a Data Modeler, you will be a key contributor in preparing and making data available in a safe and secure manner for multiple usages by Businesses and Functions and for multiple purposes: reporting, analytics, visualization, APIs & more.

Role & responsibilities

• Establishing, improving and deploying modeling standards & guidelines, by coaching and assisting the data engineers in their usage.
• Assessing the data models on the correct application of the rules/guidelines/standards by the data engineers on a regular basis. This involves a close collaboration with the data architects and data managers and a detailed knowledge of the client’s standards.
• Creating awareness on data modeling by promoting viable techniques and training functional and technical data engineers.
• Supporting the technical data engineers in the preparation, validation and execution of ORACLE scripts. Also supporting the data engineers in optimizing performance on existing databases.
• Following up on the latest IT and Data advancements & evolution (internal & external) and proposing innovative data solutions that can significantly enhance business activities.

Your Profile

• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and good knowledge of French or Dutch.
• Efficient time management and prioritization skills.

Technical skills

• At least 5 years of experience with data in any of the financial domain (product related, business related). Significant experience in Big Data technologies and platforms would be considered an asset.
• Practical experience with Data Vault modeling. Familiar with PowerDesigner or any other modeling tool.
• Client focused and able to transform client wishes into documented solutions, co-creating adequate solutions for their needs together.
• At least five years’ experience in data management, data processing, data modeling. Deep understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modeling. Ability to design and develop good practices for Business Intelligence applications.
• Agile mindset, eager to share your knowledge & learn. Open to give and receive constructive feedback and inspire accordingly.
