Business context and main purpose of the job:
This role is a great opportunity for those who want to develop their category management skills, strong business acumen and understand all commercial levers leading to successful FMCG digital commerce sales.

It’s a great starting point to become a real all-round commercial profile and you’ll have the chance to improve your analytical skills, your logical thinking, negotiation- and interpersonal communication skills. At the same time, you’ll be exposed to the dynamic and growing digital commerce channel, and you’ll have the opportunity to interact with some of our leading local & global customers.

As a digital category manager & data analyst you work closely with the Key Account Managers, the Trade & performance marketer and the digital commerce lead. Further, it will be key to connect with other internal stakeholders internally and externally.

We are looking to recruit a full-time professional. The job is based in Brussels and 0-5% travel is foreseen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bring in shopper & channel insights
  • Drive portfolio and pricing recommendations;
  • Develop compelling, data-driven digital trade stories for our customers
  • Co-create strong e-joint Business plans, that deliver a triple win: for the shopper, for the retailer and for Unilever.
  • Develop strong relationships with the e-commerce teams at customer side
  • Set up, improve, and evaluate scorecards that unlock value internally and externally

  • Passionate about O&O (online and offline) sales and shoppers;
  • Analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial focus with strong eye for detail
  • At ease learning about new tools and e-commerce trends

Who are you?
  • Ideally +3 years working experience in a commercial role (account management, category management or digital marketing)
  • You understand the drivers for success in consumer goods digital commerce and have demonstrated understanding of e-commerce and the underlying commercial levers
  • You have strong analytical skills with strong knowledge of Excel
  • You are enthusiastic, take initiative and have perseverance
  • You are a team player and connect easily with internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous category management experience is a plus
