Job Description:

For our Power Systems Division, we are looking for a Digital Grid Business Developerwho works for the region of Belgium & Netherlands, based in Uccle, in Belgium or in Hoofddorp, in the Netherlands.

Your meaningful purpose
This role will allow to position Schneider Electric as the leader in supporting Utilities and End User Digitalization through the implementation of EcoStruxure Grid solutions. The new joiner will develop and secure top line of the Digital Grid business (Advanced Distribution Management System, Geographic Information System, Flexibility Platform…) for the BeNe cluster.
You will actively contribute with the support of strategic & offer marketing to build new access to customers, new business models to enlarge the development of EcoStruXure Grids solutions.
More to that, you will play a key role in growing the Pull through of overall Power System Line of Business orders and cross selling from other BUs inside Ecostruxure Framework.
Finally, you will develop and maintain key partnership in the cluster to boost our business

Your daily task and responsibilities

Drive pipeline development & management within targeted accounts through dedicated end user account managers:

  • Map, assess and target key utilities in digital transformation.
  • Efficiently manage the pipeline through the Customer Project Process.
  • Lead Pipeline review.
  • Coach sales forces in pitching and selling EcoStruxure Grid.
  • Lead demand creation plan at key targeted utilities:
    • Pitch initial value proposition at C level
    • Build business case for C Level and for operation management
    • Lead innovation workshops sponsored by C level
    • Identify opportunities to sell EcoStruxure solutions
    • Prescribe solutions

Improve hit rates and secure order intake :
  • Act as opportunity leader
  • Ensure that successful Commercial strategy is defined and implemented for Analytics Opportunities:
    • Select most competitive execution setup.
    • Validate potential partnerships.
    • Finalize differentiating value proposition.
    • Validate offer and confirm potential deviations.
    • Define price target.
  • Implement Revenue Storm Methodology by coaching Front Offices stakeholder (structure way to tackle relationship mapping of our customer’s Decision Makers).
  • Be opportunity leader for targeted projects.
  • Close deals.

Contribute to the Digital Grid Line of Business:

  • Share with the Digital Grid global team (strategy, Marketing, …) new business cases, competition moves, etc.
  • Attend training about new solutions (value prop, pricing, positioning).
  • Be the main contact of Marketing team for cluster initiative.
Who you are?
  • You possess minimum 8 years’ experience in/with Utility industry (DSOs, TSOs),
  • You have a deep knowledge of utilities business models, with basic knowledge on country regulations,
  • It is a plus if you have a track record in selling in consultative mode at least one of these bricks: ADMS, GIS, AMI/MDM, Microgrid,
  • In the past, you worked as opportunity leader, leading tendering & technical teams to capture Medium & Large sizes software bids,
  • C level meetings, value prop pitching and selling aren’t new for you,
  • Secure with C Level and lead Innovation workshops,
  • Ability to build up systems approach from various angles and develop complex story,
  • Track records in growing pipeline,
  • You fluently speak Dutch, French and English.
