To drive and support the execution of DEME’s digital strategy, we search for a Digital Project Manager to lead larger and more complex digital projects. These projects can be variable depending on our business needs, such as in core services like Asset management, HR, or cross functional multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Your responsibilities

• Lead complex digital projects from through the entire project lifecycle from idea to project execution within budget, time, quality and user satisfaction
• Maintain close collaboration with key stakeholders, such as the business owners, IT (services, architects),…
• Prepare detailed scoping and business case of the project, in line with the business requirements, technical requirements and fitting within our architectural landscape
• Engage and lead the initiative team (can be dedicated or several part-time resources)
• Manage the relationship with external vendors during the execution of projects
• Spearhead operational excellence principles, such as keeping it simple, user focus,…
• Prepare program/project status reports as defined by our PMO process for steering committee and senior management meetings
• Manage and, where necessary, escalate risks and project issues to ensure resolution in a timely manner.

Your profile

• Several years’ experience leading complex digital projects (e.g. ERP tool implementations,…)
• Experience with different project management methodologies (we utilize agile scrum approach)
• You put the user / customer first, and have a high level of service mindedness, but always remain a critical thinker.
• You have an analytical mindset and arrive step by step to a solution, validating the assumptions along the way
• You are enthusiastic, have a positive mindset and can bring this over to your colleagues and team.
• You can structure processes, and complex problems into simple, understandable solutions.
• You learn fast and can probe for details, even if you do not know the domain very well.
