Job description:

Role:
* Define & maintain a completeand coherent view of our EMEA IT landscape across businesses, systems and technology.
* Capture requirements of the business, initially with a main focus on the further development & adoption of a digital workplace for all Daikin EMEA employees.New way of digital collaboration: together with specialists, analyse the work behaviour of the employees and develop a roadmap & solutions to cover the identified requirements and improvements.
* Drive the evolution towards a self-supporting workplace, during which a pro-active support model is put in place.
* Optimal use of all the available technologies & IT solutions (incl. the future trend to mobile usage within the daily business).
* Asses the required introduction of new technologies that can support Daikin in achieving its digital workplace goals.
* Breakdown the developed roadmap towards different implementation projects that will be taken care off by the different implementation teams.
* Some identified improvements might require involvement from other IT departments (e.g. application changes, …), positioning you as the person to capture the requirements and pass them on to those involved colleagues
* Finally, make sure the implementation & operation is safeguarded by clear service & SLA agreements.
* Part of the role is to conceive the ‘enablement’ strategy and approach, with the aim to make sure the business adopts the available technology and optimizes the way of working with digital tools.
* Eventually evolve to a broader role in which you have a 360° view on our complete infrastructure architecture & components
* In alignment with the latest technology trends & peer groups, develop a vision on the direction Daikin needs to evolve to in the coming years.
* After alignment with internal/external stakeholders, take the ownership of developing a multi-year plan for the whole environment, taking into account budget, resource & timing requirements.
* Manage our partnerships & our enterprise wide SaaS subscription contracts for IT technology (incl. the Microsoft Enterprise agreement). This also involves negotiations during contract renewals & RFP’s.
* You regularly communicate with stakeholders and work very closely together with IT management (with a focus on technology).
* Once in a while, you take the stage for a large audience to present your vision & domain, incl. the leading role in a quarterly Governance board.

Working location:
* In line with our homeworking policy, we expect you to work for 60% from our brand new & state-of-the-art office in the O-Forty building in Oostkamp. For the remaining time, you can work from home.

* IT Centre EMEA in the IT Infrastructure department.

Profile description:

Profile:
* Preferably you have a master degree as an economist, engineer, computer scientist
* Minimum 5 years of work experience in a complex international enterprise ( > 1.000 users) where IT is centrally managed.
* Very good communication skills in English.
* Experience with vendor management is a plus.
* Prepared to travel to Daikin group companies in Europe
