Are you ready to choose DEME for your next career move?

As an Electrical Technical Expert at DEME, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems, with a specific focus on maritime navigation and communication equipment. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and act as the point of contact for external suppliers and repair facilities. Your role ensures that all activities comply with maritime regulations and safety standards.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders regarding troubleshooting and improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare work orders to ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standard and reliability.
  • Serve as the point of contact between suppliers and repair facilities.
  • Act as the point of contact for internal stakeholders involved in work preparation.
  • Stay informed of new developments in radar and communication systems specific to our fleet types.
  • Establish standards for the maintenance and cost-effective repair of related systems.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or releted field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the marine sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of maritime navigation and communication equipment and the relevant regulations.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on new technological developments.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and new challenges.
