Kikmo is seeking an ambitious Embedded Software Engineer C++ who is ready to grow and become a valuable member of our expanding, highly competent team capable of handling a diverse range of projects in embedded systems.

Our consultants actively engage in every phase of the software and system lifecycle, playing a pivotal role in shaping strategies and addressing critical missions for our diverse clientele across various industry sectors. Their expertise spans the entire spectrum, ensuring comprehensive contributions to our customer’s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Create maintainable, well documented code and tests; participate in code reviews; troubleshoot issues; optimize system performance.
  • Implement drivers in C/C++ and write test scripts to verify them across a variety of operating scenarios.
  • Identify points of weakness in the software and electronics; help develop plans for improving and robustifying the product.
  • Interface with hardware design and development.
  • Coordinate technical approach with cross-discipline team members.
  • Integration and testing of software and hardware components
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of best practices and processes within the engineering department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Development, Test & Validation and/or design of embedded systems.
  • Good experience in programming skills "C and C++, and Python.
  • Experience writing unit tests, code coverage profiling
  • Familiarity with hardware architectures and embedded systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in English and preferably conversant in Dutch as well.
