We are currently looking for an Embedded Software engineer (junior) to join our growing team. As a member of our team you will be working on a variety of embedded systems ranging from ultra-low power microcontrollers to advanced high power hybrid FPGA-SOC systems.

You will be part of a skilled development team which prides itself in delivering high quality solutions to its customers. At OPS we believe in a `people first` way of working where personal development and a healthy working environment are the number one priority.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the architectural discussion of the customer project to ensure the most suitable design and technologies
  • Development of board support packages for dedicated hardware platforms
  • Debugging of complex software problems
  • Porting of existing software stacks to new hardware
  • Creating Proof-Of-Concepts of new technologies and hardware for customers or internal projects.

Qualifications

  • Theoretical knowledge of operating systems, electronics and software design
  • Comfortable with using measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, data and protocol analyzers to help debug hardware
  • Strong interest in Open Source technologies such as Linux, UBoot, Zephyr, FreeRTOS, Buildroot, Yocto,...
  • Experience with C programming. Knowledge of C++ / Go / Python are a big plus
  • An eagerness to understand every part of an embedded system and learn how to optimize them
