About The Job

Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will be responsible for provisioning of 24/7 Cyber Security Incident Response (TRIAGE, Contain, Eradicate, Recover) activities, during normal working hours and on-call duties, including weekends and holidays. You will deliver of technical co-ordination, support and assistance in respect of Cyber Security Incident Response to NATO CIS Operating Authorities or other similar bodies as directed, including but not limited to, NATO Nations, Partner Nations, non-Governmental Organisations and Industry partners.

About You

We’re looking for a talented and knowledgeable Engineer (Cyber Security Operations) professional with ideally a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.

You must have an excellent ability to recognise when an IT network/system has been attacked, be able to take immediate action to limit damage and to escalate the event to higher authority. Very good ability to analyse complex situation under time pressure, providing relevant prioritized course of action, distributing the tasks to colleagues, tracking the completion of them and interpreting their results to reassess the course of action is a must.

You must have very good communications skills and reporting experience with capacity to communicate to different types of audience (senior executive, middle management, technical and non-technical).

Hold relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), SANS GIAC/GCIH or GIAC/GCIM wil be a plus.

Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential and some knowledge of French is desirable.
