We are looking to expand our Project Management Team with two colleagues who will focus on Automation Projects in our plant in Thomasville, North Carolina (US). If you are passionate about Automation and you feel at home in a fast changing and innovative production environment.. Read on!

First we will provide a training in our plant in Wielsbeke (Belgium). You’ll have the time to connect with colleagues and learn more about our machinery and processes.

Afterwards, you will work as an expat for our plant in Thomasville (3 to 5 years). You will become a true pioneer and have a key role in planning , developing, and managing important automation projects from concept to completion.

Function
  • Guiding automation projects including: new machines, transport systems, storage, …..
  • You will be responsible for the automation support on new and existing machines:
    • Functional analyses
    • Preparation of the electrical and controls specifications
    • Potential engagement and follow-up of external specialist
    • Follow up of the elaboration of the technical solution
  • Follow up the project technically (schematics, software, documentation ….) and ensure successful implementation, taking into account the needs, timings and budget.
  • You can use your analytical and coaching capacities to the fullest in order to make the transfer to production run as smoothly as possible.
  • You follow up closely the evolutions in automation, instrumentation, etc…
  • You bring improvement proposal.
Profile
  • You are an Industrial or Civil Engineer in electricity, automation or electronics. You have at least three years of experience in industrial automation.
  • You are communicative and used to work in a project organization.
  • Your technical background includes: choosing the right sensor/actuators, drives, the Siemens software suite (TIA, S7, WinCC, ….) and all kinds of bus systems (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet, etc.).
  • You are also familiar with aspect of machine safety and various machine regulations.
  • Other personal characteristics that will come in handy: persevering, eye for detail, eager to learn, hands-on, and last but not least autonomous.
