For our Direct Export organization, we are looking for a Business Controller. In this role, you will closely collaborate with the regional MD of Direct Export. Based in Mortsel, you will have regular and close contact with numerous international stakeholders (business spanning over 80 countries).Job DescriptionAs the "economic conscience" of the company, you will provide proactive and constructive support to the management team. As a business partner, you will deliver accurate management reports and analyses (revenue, gross margin, RECO, working capital evolution, etc.) to advise and guide management in the development and achievement of plans and objectives. You will manage planning and forecasting activities, explain financial concepts to Sales & Services organizations, all with the aim of facilitating decision-making and improving results in the region. You will work alongside the Credit Manager to proactively address credit and collections risks from a business standpoint. Given the large number of countries in the Direct Export region, some of which may experience political and/or economic instability, this is a critical aspect of the role. You will analyze and provide management with insights on revenue forecast, order intake, and order book evolution to minimize business risks and implement proactive and corrective measures. You will identify opportunities for further profitability improvement and support the implementation of improvement programs in the region. You will play a leading role in the budgeting and forecasting process.Profile
  • You hold a master’s degree in Finance.
  • You have experience in controlling within a similar industrial environment. International experience with countries and/or customers in the Middle East is a plus.
  • You possess excellent analytical skills and are adept at variance analysis.
  • You have strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record in planning and execution.
  • You are process and customer-oriented.
  • You have a strong affinity for numbers, and data quality is of utmost importance to you.
  • Integrity and business sense are inherent qualities.
  • You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • You can influence others and establish excellent collaboration with HQ management and the regional MD.
  • You have excellent command of English, and proficiency in any other language is a bonus.
