For one of our clients, located in Erembodegem, we are looking for a freelance Full Stack Engineerfor a long term project.

As Full Stack Developer you are assigned to one of the development squads and responsible for building and implementing appealing interactive components and effective user interfaces for various web apps used by our customers to access our popular entertainment products.

Your responsibilities

  • You translate design wire frames and functional requirements into high-performance code, building new or optimizing existing functionalities and visual application components, bearing in mind UX aspects
  • Deliver high-quality, reusable, maintainable and clearly documented code
  • Apply responsive and adaptive design techniques and conduct unit and UI tests
  • Produce structured and scalable code, and utilize design patterns
  • Review the code of peers and be open to feedback about your own code
  • Co-working and collaborate closely with technical analysts, product owners, product designers (UX/UI), other developers and QA Engineers
  • Work according to Agile principles, embrace change and have an open and eager mindset in improving yourself and your team
  • Contribute to the overall software development life cycle, this includes helping to define design requirements and supporting QA and deployment activities
  • Keep abreast with new technologies and share your knowledge with others in our guilds

Your profile

  • Several years of professional experience in building and implementing full stack technologies, ideally in an online industry
  • You are an effective communicator who uses appropriate language at all levels -both spoken and written- in English, and (ideally) in Dutch
  • Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 and an excellent understanding of JavaScript libraries (jQuery) and frameworks such as React and NodeJS
  • Experience with GraphQL (Apollo) and Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence) or similar
  • Knowledge of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms (LESS, SASS)
  • Familiar with using some of the following: MySQL, GIT, REST, MicroServices architecture, Redis, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in coding according to SOLID principles, utilizing design patterns (CQRS);
  • A drive for continuous improvement & learning
  • Belief in the strength of working according to Agile Manifesto
  • You develop with passion, structured, modular and aim for scalability
