Front-End Software Engineer

MAIN TASKS:

o Develop the software functionalities (from feasibility studies and MVPs up to release candidate) in line with agreed release plan for Belgium and Spain Business Unit.

o Deliver mainly front-end software components (specification, design, implementation, testing, deployment) but also participate to back-end components and maintains the existing software building-blocks (HMI, …).

o Work on automating the pre-production testing and deployment into production process.

o Implement, test and deploy in production the company software releases as planned.

o Maintain expert level of knowledge on software development frameworks, cloud deployment solutions, test automation tools (continuous integration pipeline) and cybersecurity.

o Advise the R&D team/Head of Software Development on software functionalities optimizations; investigate and list alternatives to meet customer requirements.

PROFILE:

o Good knowledge of English

o MSc in Computer Science/Data Science.

o 3+ year experience within an Agile software development environment and preferably with CI/CD of enterprise software platforms.

o Strong experience with web development using modern frameworks (Angular, React, Flask, HTML5, …) to deliver maintainable front-end.

o Working experience in Object-Oriented Design and Programming.

o Working experience with Web Services and related protocols (HTTP, REST, JSON).

o Ability to create appealing user interface with fluid user experience.

o Working experience in web application security, best practices, and design principles (OWASP, SANS…)

o Understand authentication and authorization techniques (JWT, OAuth…)

o Working experience in CI, packaging web application, test frameworks and cloud deployment

o Working experience in Linux or Java EE is an asset.

o Knowledge of networking protocols/mobile and wireless communication (e.g., GSM, LPWAN, MQTT, …) is an asset.

o Knowledge of Java EE Application Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB is an asset.

o Project management skills (Agile methodology preferred)
