Are you ready for your next challenge in Financial Management? Would you like to bring

your experience to the table and help streamlining the accounting processes within a

multinational company based in Brussels center? For one of our best clients, we are

actively looking for a Head of Accounting to lead their finance team. They are active

within the construction business and present in several European countries. A dynamic

environment, where process improvements and change management initiatives are

highly welcomed.

What you will be doing

As International Head of Accounting you will :

  • Manage the general accounting team on daily basis for all their different entities based over Europe
  • Analyse accounting processes and work on the efficiency optimization
  • Ensure internal control procedures and compliance on group level
  • Advice and collaborate closely with the external consultancy firm on long term strategy and tactical changes
  • Coordinate and implement operational process improvements
  • Secure proper documentation and transparent reporting of all financial activities


Why this job is perfect for you

As Group Head of Accounting you:

  • Ideally have a master or bachelor’s degree in Finance, accounting or tax
  • Have a profound knowledge of accountancy and 10 years of experience in a senior accounting position
  • Master local gap procedures and are familiar with IFRS
  • Speak fluently Dutch, French and English
  • Are an ambitious person with excellent communication skills and an open personality
  • Have strong leadership skills, know how to motivate a team and manage people remotely
  • Are process-oriented, you have previously worked on process improvement projects and know how to translate this into practical steps to take
  • Always keep a clear overview and keep your calm in sometimes stressful circumstances
