Head of Infrastructure Domain

Your mission

As a Head of IT Infrastructure Domain, the main purpose of your role will be to provide reliable, high quality IT Services for the business by managing an internal team and external teams in charge of IT infrastructure projects and operations management (Servers, DB, backup, SAN, hybrid cloud resources) and ensuring the evolution roadmap of the IT infrastructure domain where the operational model will need to evolve in the two coming years as a challenge.

Your responsibilities

• Technical leadership:

• Develop a thorough understanding of the infrastructure domain to develop the technical evolutions and the maintenance answering business needs.
• Regularly in contact with operational teams (Business & technical internal and partner teams) to ensure that the services delivered in IT infrastructure domain are performing well; and is accountable to follow corrective actions when needed

• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies within infrastructure and IT domain.

• Operations and performance Optimization:
• Organize and assure the infrastructure and security operation with the external partners
• Continuously assess and improve domain performance, scalability, obsolescence and reliability,
• Implement monitoring and measurement tools to track key performance indicators
• Setup and leverage the AI for Ops

• Vendor Management:
• Manage suppliers to deliver qualitative solutions meeting defined specifications and according to the planning.
• Collaborate with partners and external vendors to evaluate and select domain-specific tools, software, and services.
• Manage the lifecycle of the IT infrastructure domain

• Team Leadership:

• Recruit, evaluate, motivate, coach, and challenge the IT infrastructure team (mix of Orange and external resources),
• Develop competencies of his/her team so as to manage the portfolio of services managed in your team and to be able to meet his/her internal strategic needs. Continuously optimize internal resources proactively.

• Strategic Planning:
• Create roadmaps and plans for IT infrastructure evolution, enhancements, upgrades, and optimizations.

• Contribute to the definition of technical choices in consultation with Orange Group and Enterprise Architecture team,
• Involved in the IT Architecture definition and development in which he draws up medium to long term technical and architectural evolutions.

• Collaborate with senior management to align domain strategies with overall organizational goals,
• Manage and optimize the budget of his domain

• Project Management:
• Accountable for delivering the project portfolio allocated to IT infrastructure while respecting the Orange governance (e-Fast, Agile, resource management, budget management, etc.) and ensuring that all projects are in line with the defined and validated roadmap,
• Accountable that each project complies with the Architecture and Security guidelines and policies

Your profile

• At least 8 years of experience in a similar role in a large company
• At least 5 years of team management experience
• Experience of managing external partner in India offshore
• In-depth knowledge on IT infrastructure domaim
• Experience with implementing and maintaining effective data protection services, including security, backups and disaster recovery
• Experience with hybrid environments including on-premises and cloud services
• Very good planning & organization skills
• Experience in ITIL processes
• Service Performance Management
• Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain productive relationships with customers, subordinates, peers and senior management
• Fluent English and French or Dutch
