The main objective of this job will be to build out a robust and reliable IT Asset Management function well embedded across the organization, and to define and implement the roadmap thereto. Together with the IT Asset Management team, you drive SWIFT forward towards a state in which we enhance our security, compliance and infrastructure management capabilities, relying on a single source of truth for SWIFT’s assets and configuration data across our production and office networks as well as public cloud hosted services.
We are looking for an IT-savvy leader to run this global and transformative role with responsibility for robust and reliable IT asset management across SWIFT.
Based on understanding of SWIFT’s products, services and underlying hardware and software assets, you’ll be responsible to define the roadmap and drive its implementation towards complete and accurate asset and configuration data, as well as materializing value use cases in the areas of compliance, security and infrastructure management.
The following traits are part of your authentic self :
- Eagerness- You’re eager and driven to bring SWIFT to the next level of asset mgt, and you’re not shying away from overcoming hurdles on that path (ability to solve complex issues). You may not yet be a thought leader in IT Asset Management, but your enthusiasm will ensure you become one.
- Ownership– Once you landed in the role and understand where we are today and aim to be, you’ll set direction, define the “northstar” and the ambitious yet realistic plan/roadmap towards it. You articulate that vision and value roadmap with passion.
- Collaboration -Collaboration with colleagues as well as at all levels across the company will be instrumental to this role’s success. You have the ability to lead (without authority) in a complex environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Based on your strong interpersonal and communication (both listening and explaining) skills, you understand the needs of your internal clients, you engage the internal and cross-divisional audience of stakeholders (many!), you manage expectations and create buy-in, orchestrate the virtual team towards achieving results. By doing so, all noses are in the same direction and all actions are cohesively moving us forward towards the expected outcomes (value creation).
What this role can bring you:
- an opportunity to make the differencein a domain which is hyper-relevant and strategic to the company: raising the bar further in the domain of asset management is part of the key priorities 2022 (and beyond) at company level, and fundamentally underpins our “operational excellence” corporate value
- a transversal viewacross all of SWIFT’s products, services, and their underlying architecture, as well as a very broad internal network
- combination of programme and people management responsibilities, and collaboration with a great internal asset management team
- an opportunity to extend your hard and soft skills,eg. learning about asset management from external sources (external networks and seminars), further extending your soft-skills and leadership skills
- a finer understanding of the operational excellence principles which underpin our ‘core’ at SWIFT(how we deal with security; how confidentiality, integrity, availability underpin our decisions; strategic tooling; how we build, operate and run our products and services on our platform across our own datacentres and Public Cloud; how 1st, 2nd and 3rd line of defense interoperate… and so much more)
To internal candidates: This function can be considered a +/- 2-3 years skills diversification and/or growth opportunity for a talented person eager to further broaden his/her expertise and skillset. For example (illustrative, not exhaustive), a sound Product Owner looking for a lateral move to diversify domain of expertise, an lead engineer or engineering Chapter Lead on a mid-term track towards an engineering lead role and looking for a broader/extra experience on that path.
To external candidates: a proven track record in Asset Management is a must.
We’re looking for the best candidate, wherever you are located. The job entails working with the Kuala Lumpur based ITAM team as well as colleagues across SWIFT (HQ, US, and other locations).
Qualifications- As mentioned above: eagerness, ownership, collaboration, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills, including senior stakeholder management skills (sufficient senior level gravitas) and ability to set direction
- Making things happen through data collection and analysis, challenging results, driving steerco’s, storytelling the to-be state, defining KPI’s and tracking progress … is part of the job too
- Solid knowledge of the SWIFT platform
- At least a 10 years relevant proven track record in IT, Security, Quality and/or Programme Management.
- You live the SWIFT values
