Job Description
  • Main responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Incoming material Manager, you will perform logistics functions which include forwarder sourcing, incoming material planning, order tracking and inventory control. You ensure that products are received in the most economical, safe, efficient, and timely manner. You will need to build coordinated processes between internal functions such as operations, procurement, and suppliers / subcontractors.

You focus resources on continuous improvement of material movement through warehouses (including 3rd party) and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks for supply chain planning and forecasting to regularly measure actual performance against targets.

You promote alignment with suppliers, forwarder, and subcontractors by understanding and communicating production needs and requirements.
  • Activities
  • Coordination of freight forwarders and logistics partners for incoming material
  • Tracking of ongoing import shipments
  • Manage inbound logistical operations including inventory management and warehousing to ensure adequate supply of goods and products
  • Coordinate internal transports between AEV facilities and subcontractors (machining, painting, packing, …)
  • Collaborate with Emerson global logistic team (SCO)
  • Elaborate subcontractors forecasting plan according to the production needs
  • Follow-up the non-conformity material date
  • Ensure proper communication and accurate information related to the incoming material
  • Keep your ERP (Odoo) up to date with incoming material date
  • Reporting such as material reception date, monthly internal transports costs, delivery time
  • Develop, implement, and maintain work procedures and instructions for incoming freight movement
  • Qualification and experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant and proven experience in Logistic or Import is desirable.
  • Fluent in English and French
  • You are familiar with Customs and Governmental regulations
  • Good communication and facilitation skills (both oral and written);
  • Previous experience in using an ERP system is an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workload with a proactive, ‘can do’ perspective.
  • You can handle multiple tasks with high awareness of deadlines
  • You are a teammate and work in a structured manner
