Who are we?

Shoutcast is a pioneer in online radio streaming and is one of the largest streaming technologies for online broadcasting, hosting more than 60.000 radio stations from all around the world. With more than 100 new online radios created every day, the Shoutcast network represents up to 33 billion listening hours per week. Through a wide range of tools and services, Shoutcast enables DJs, podcasters and radio enthusiasts to stream their content easily and seamlessly.

Located in Brussels, we are looking for a Sales Development Representative Intern (SDR).

What will you be doing?

As a member of our sales development team, you will qualify inbound leads and develop new sales opportunities through prospecting. You will be expected to quickly learn, understand and speak to our product offering and handle objections. Your performance will be measured against our weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual targets (volume of qualified meetings booked, demos converting into active deals). You are also the ears on the ground, and we expect you to relay feedback to your sales and marketing team for cross-learnings and process improvement.

Inbound Prospecting: our sales leads come from various sources, Webinars, LinkedIn, whitepaper, our website, events, industry research, marketing campaigns, etc. You will be responsible for following up with these inbound leads and turn them into sales opportunities. Your goal is to provide Publisher Development team qualified leads and determine a good fit for their needs.

Outbound Prospecting: in addition to our inbound sales leads, you will run outbound prospecting campaigns to organizations and contacts that fit our ideal customer profile. In these campaigns, we use tools like Hubspot CRM, LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Lusha, ProspectIn, Dropcontact, and planify cold calls with Aircall to identify and contact new sales opportunities.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor or master’s internship. Internship agreement from school required. The internship is only possible with the internship agreement.
  • Languages: fluent in English, another European language is a plus
  • You are self-motivated, high-energy, curious, resilient professionals with strong organizational and follow up skills who work well in a team environment.
  • You have great communication and listening skills. You’ll be on the phone a lot, chatting with sales prospects. To be successful, you’ll need to be comfortable chatting with folks you don’t know, listening and understanding their needs, and asking great clarifying questions. Prospects will have varying clarity on their needs and understanding of our offerings so will need your help to understand whether our offering is a great fit.
  • You have a genuine interest in what we do. We’re a flexible, fast-moving, quickly growing company, a fantastic attitude and energy.
