What does this job entail?

KBC innovates because client expectations are evolving. Digital innovations play a large role in our strategy so we want to get it right. As an IT auditor, you’re the extra pair of eyes that checks if our approach is sound.

You look at our IT processes, infrastructure, systems and change projects and make recommendations for improvements. This helps us to better manage IT and information security risk within KBC Group.

What do we expect from you?

  • You examine the factors which may prevent us from achieving our IT objectives.
  • You analyse and assess the quality of IT change projects, IT processes, IT infrastructure and IT systems and make recommendations for improvements.
  • You work together with other IT auditors and business auditors, using the standardized risk-based KBC audit methodology.
  • You negotiate with line management to initiate changes in the area of risk management and internal control.

Your key strengths?

  • You have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, e.g. as an IT auditor, a Risk Manager or a Security Officer. A strong plus would be CISA, CISM or any other relevant certification and/or knowledge of Information Security.
  • Naturally, you have strong analytical skills. You keep an overview but easily discern relevant details.
  • Just like your colleagues you are always eager to learn and enjoy being challenged intellectually. You’re respectfully critical, realistic, pragmatic and assertive.
  • You communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. You just as easily talk to a starter as to a senior manager. Your communication skills also help you to lead meetings and to get everybody on the same wavelength. Even when you and your colleagues have a different opinion.
  • Short periods abroad are no issue for you (max. one week, a few times a year).
