Key Responsibilities
  • You will be part of the Infrastructure & Operations team that is responsible for ensuring the availability of our IT systems, that works under guidance of and in cooperation with the Architecture Center of Excellence (CoE)
    • Follow up world wide data centers, servers, storage, backup and disaster recovery, as wel as performing disaster recovery testing and make sure the documentation is available for your pears and for ISO certification purposes
    • Participate in 24/7 oncall rotation for L2/L3 Infrastructure support
  • Pro-active patching and securing of IT systems (Servers) , based on:
    • Microsoft recommendations and Patch releases
    • Reports from Vulnerability scanning
    • Alerts from 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) and tooling (SIEM, Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Intrusion detection, etc)
    • Inputs from the Security CoE
  • Ensuring compliance of systems towards Barco standards
    • Upgrade the complete environment as requested by the Barco Architecture Security Center of Excellence (CoE). Global remediation of security vulnerabilities and security incidents in close collaboration with local service delivery IT staff with primary focus on systems
You profile
  • You have 3-5 years of experience as system support engineer in a Multi-national company
  • You are passionate about security and improving the general security posture of Barco
  • You work organized and structured and are able to communicate results clearly
  • You are proactive, can work autonomously and have good problem-solving skills
  • You are a team player who is used to working in global teams and who is also able to work independently on assigned tasks/projects
  • You are persistant in resolving issues with focus on details. In security every detail is important

Desired Skills/Must Have
  • Advanced knowledge of the following:
    • Knowledge of backup systems, storage arrays, storage networks, converged infrastructure and VMWare infrastructures
    • Operating systems: Mainly Microsoft Windows Servers and Linux systems
  • Basic knowledge of broad IT infrastructure devices and techniques
    • Network devices and configuration
    • Understanding of Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, XaaS)
    • Understanding IT security basics: Malware, Threats, Vulnerability
    • Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Multi-Factor Authentication, O365, Exchange, Microsoft SQL.
    • Scripting knowledge (Powershell, Python)
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken language

Skills Nice To Have
  • Basic spoken communication skills in French

Education
  • Bachelor degree in IT
  • University degree in IT (at least 4 year of formal education)
  • Engineering degree
