Skills, knowledge, experience required:
  • 3 years’ experience in:
  • Working in a ICT CIS environment;
  • Supporting IT users, desktop hardware and software;
  • Working in an IT administration role;
  • Proven experience in:
  • Working as a Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager;
  • Working with Active Directory Objects, user accounts and permissions;
  • Automation Administration and scripting in MS PowerShell (certified preferred);
  • As Application Manager, checking, testing and approving products and dependencies for deployment;
  • Certifications:
  • Computing Technology Industry Associating (CompTIA A+) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional;
  • Knowledge of:
  • The capabilities and deployment of Personal Computers (PC);
  • Current operating systems and office automation software.
Duties/role:
  • Installing, maintaining and operating the full range of computing, printing and network devices required to deliver systems and services for customer office automation;
  • Installing and configuring for use, COTS software on networked and standalone workstations;
  • Installing and configuring network client software on LAN workstations;
  • Configuring local server software and special peripheral devices;
  • Creating, maintaining and troubleshooting user access issues for static and mobile devices;
  • Working with Organisational Units in Active Directory and Group Policy;
  • Executing support requests, work orders and other tasks;
  • Preparing and improving processes for software packages for automatic deployment;
  • Contributing to:
  • IT Security compliance and remediation;
  • Incident, change, configuration and asset management processes through ITSM toolkit.
