Company description

nWave is a digital animation studio specializedin the production and distribution of 3D animation content. It is a thriving Brussels-based company which has produced several feature length animation movies with a worldwide exploitation.

nWave also distributes internationally short movies for the attraction, museum, ... business.

nWave is currently looking for a system administrator to strengthen her IT team in Brussels.


Description of the function

Job Responsibilities (m/f):

  • Guarantee the availability, performance and evolution of company’s Windows and Linux environment (servers/workstations - Centos/debian).
  • Intervene on IT incidents as well as hardware/software issues.
  • Provide IT user support.
  • Ensure the control and efficiency for our production infrastructure: network, servers (mail, web, dhcp, dns, ntp, file, streaming, vpn, etc.).
  • Maintain and develop small Python and Php tools to help production teams.
  • Suggest improvements to the existing IT infrastructure.

Being a company which favors the use of open source tools as much as possible, your main quality will be to be able to self-train from documentation, forums, tutorials...

You will have to touch on different parts of IT. We are not looking for a specialist but for a person open to work in different fields (network / database / servers / development / ...).



Profile description

Position Requirements:

  • Educational background: Ideally a computer bachelor degree or equivalent by experience.
  • A solid knowledge of Linux.
  • A few years of experience in a similar position is a plus
  • Fluent in French with a good level in English and Dutch. As we are an international company, it is important to have good communication skills.
  • You are ready to take on new challenges and projects, initiatives, solve problems and also you can set priorities.
  • Stress resistant.
