We are looking for a Laboratory Scientist Non-Clinical formulation to join us in our Pharma Sciences organization based in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.

About The Role

The position is based in the UCB laboratories and offices at the Braine-l’Alleud campus.

What You Will Do

• You will participate to the development, characterization and production of non-clinical formulations.
• You will work in partnership with a scientist expert.
• You will perform the physico-chemical characterization and stability studies of new Active Ingredients (NCEs) on batches before the GLP batch.
• You will develop analytical and physico-chemical methods.
• You will be in charge of analysing results with readiness to criticize and ensure the consistency of the results with earlier data if relevant, with the appropriate documentation.
• You will contribute to the writing of technical documents like reports, SOPs, user guides, guidances, etc..
• You will participate to the digitalization deployment in the laboratory (Electronical Lab Notebook, recipes, sample management system) and act as key user for some specific systems

For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

• You have a Master/Bachelor/graduate: analytical chemistry, formulation or similar
• You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an analytical domain or similar (with preference in pharmaceutical)
• You have a key technical background: small molecule chromatography (HPLC/UHPLC), DSC, TGA, microscopy (optical, SEM), non-clinical formulation preparation.
• You are a team player, experience in a similar position/environment, compliant/rigorous (understand the importance of following procedures in detail), science driven.
• Language skills: Français / Anglais
• You are autonomous and you think pro-actively.
