Molecular Diagnostics Franchise

The Global Marketing Professional position is a key role for the planning, development, and execution of the Molecular Diagnostics (=MD) Franchise marketing activities. It presents the opportunity to showcase talent and offers growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has expertise and competence in market analyses as well as the curiosity and interest to be involved in all aspects of marketing activities. Furthermore, as MD within Siemens Healthineers is a fast-paced and challenging business environment, the ideal candidate should bring a passion and strong initiative.

In her/his role the person reports directly to the Head of MD Global Marketing and can be located in any major Siemens Healthineers hubs in Europe or NorthEastern United States.

What will you be responsible for:

  • Own global MD market intelligence and contribute to defining the MD Franchise strategy through analysis of market trends reports and competitive environment.
  • Support the execution of sales tactics according to global guidelines, both with Laboratory Diagnostics (=LD) direct sales and Business Partners, supported by markets analysis and competitive reviews.
  • Execution of commercially-oriented trainings.
  • Maintain global market intelligence reports/data and complement them with primary market research (surveys) and the acquisition of secondary, up-to-date MD-specific information.
  • Represent MD Global Marketing as Voice-of-Sales and Voice-of-the-Customer within Product Teams as assigned by Head of Global Marketing.
  • Contributes to the development of marketing assets (e.g. literature and sales collateral) and sales training material.
  • Cooperate with external marketing service providers, supervise the delivery and implementation of those services, assess outcome and in case approve work delivered.
  • Contribute to MD Franchise budget planning and complete Marketing related reports.
  • Update Franchise Group Members (FGM), MD Regional Marketing, and Sales about market trends, pricing and competitive news.
  • Support other MD GMKTG members with market intelligence info and data.

Who are we looking for:

  • Pro-active professional who can think out-of-the box and contribute to MD Global Marketing Team success with her/his competence and skills.
  • Influencer with a strong business results orientation who, when working in a matrixed organization can lead internal and external teams towards common goals in accordance with agreed-upon guidelines.
  • Marketing professional with proven experience in market analysis and competitive reviews who can provide meaningful insight for short-to-long term trends.
  • Team-player with attention to ROI, sensitivity for cost-benefit analysis, bias for action.
  • Experience in a sales environment is a strong plus, must be able to adapt quickly and thrive in a constantly evolving environment, and be able to effectively drive required change and innovation.
  • Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Scientific Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in marketing discipline or molecular biology strong plus.
  • Language proficiency in English is a must; proficiency in other languages (German, French, Spanish) are an asset.
