The ICT department at Fluxys plays a central role in the efficient operation and development of gas infrastructure.

It ensures the maintenance and evolution of technological systems, ranging from networks and databases to cloud applications and customized software solutions. Among its strategic missions, the real-time SCADA systems hold an essential place, guaranteeing optimal control of the high-pressure gas transmission network.

For our Operational Technology (OT) services at our office in Anderlecht, we are looking for an OT Central Team Leader (m/f/x).

Job purpose

As a Team Leader – OT, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the OT Manager to ensure the integrity, reliability and cybersecurity of our gas network’s industrial control systems. You will lead a teal of engineers and technicians, helping to maintain and evolve our SCADA, PLC, and telemetry infrastructure across critical assets.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in complex, safety-critical environments, and understands the unique challenge of OT in the energy sector.

Your responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Support: Supervise and mentor a team of 6 OT engineers and technicians, ensuring alignment with strategic goals set by the OT Manager
• System Oversight: Maintain and optimize ICS platforms including SCADA, RTUs, PLCs, and HMI systems across the gas distribution network
• Cybersecurity & Compliance: Support implementation of OT cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, NIS2), ensuring systems are secure and compliant
• Incident Response: Assist in managing OT incidents, troubleshooting faults, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Project Delivery: Lead technical execution of OT projects, upgrades, and expansions, reporting progress and risks to the OT Manager
• Documentation & Standards: Ensure accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures in line with regulatory and internal standards
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, field operations, and asset management teams to ensure seamless integration and operational continuity

About you

• You hold a Master in Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field
• You have 5+ years in OT/ICS environments, preferably in gas, utilities, or energy infrastructure. Industrial infrastructure is also a possibility : chemistry, petrochemicals, refining, or machinery manufacturing
• You show strong understanding of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, CIP, etc.)
• You have experience in Project Management applied to OT scope (Medium scale projects)
• You are familiar with OT cybersecurity principles and regulatory frameworks
• You have outstanding leadership skills, gained through at least 3 years of team management experience. You are resilient and confident in leading highly skilled professionals in a demanding environment, fostering collaboration and mutual respect
• You demonstrate strong analytical skills, genuine curiosity, and the ability to ask insightful questions to truly understand
• You think beyond your own responsibilities and understand how your work drives the company’s broader mission
• You are fluent in either French or Dutch, with a good command of English, and demonstrate a genuine willingness to learn the other national language
