YOUR TASKS

• Designing machine learning algorithms based on fuzzy rough set models
• Setting up large-scale experimental studies with benchmark data to evaluate these models;
• Guiding PhD students involved in the Odysseus project “Fuzzy sets and rough sets for machine learning, sentiment analysis and web intelligence”
• Reporting and presenting your research in top-tier international journals and conferences;

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You hold a thesis-based doctorate in computer science.
• You have thorough experience of recent developments on fuzzy rough sets for machine learning
• You are skilled at setting up experiments
• You possess good interpersonal and team-playing skills
• You are proficient in English
• You have published in top scientific journals in the computer science domain
• You have excellent programming skills (e.g. Java, Python, …).

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

• We offer you a contract of definite duration for the period of 6 months.
• Your contract will start on 1/02/2023 at the earliest.
• Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate). Click here for more information about our salary scales.
