Principal Engineer – MSAT (Large Molecule Drug Product) – Global Role

Candidates can be based 3 days per week in: Beerse (BE) | Cork (IE) | Leiden (NL) | Schaffhausen or Zug (CH)

Are you a seasoned MSAT or Technical Operations expert ready to take ownership of global large molecule projects? We’re partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical company that pioneers monoclonal antibody innovation and brings life-changing medicines to patients worldwide.

As a Principal Engineer (Technical Owner), you will play a strategic, global role, serving as the technical voice within the product’s Value Chain Team (VCT) and leading complex, cross-functional projects from concept to delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the Technical Owner for commercialized Drug Product (DP) large molecules.
  • Represent MSAT in the Value Chain Team, shaping lifecycle and supply strategies.
  • Drive technical leadership for process performance, risk assessments, and cost optimizations.
  • Lead and coordinate product-related technical activities across internal and external manufacturing.
  • Contribute to platform standardization, innovation projects, and new platform integration.
  • Actively support failure investigations, validation processes, and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • 9+ years in a relevant technical/MSAT/GMP manufacturing role (6+ with MSc/PhD).
  • Strong background in Drug Product development, lifecycle management, and process validation.
  • Experience in global matrix organizations, with exceptional influencing and leadership skills.
  • Fluent English; experience navigating multi-cultural, international teams.
  • Proficiency with digital tools such as SAP, TruVault, TrackWise, MS Project, and statistical software like Minitab.
